what the heck?
really? high waist jeans.
did you see this ad on facebook?
i thought it was a joke of some sort.
so i clicked on it.
and for a whopping $78
{not to mention s&h and tax}
you can look lame.
they had to pose this girl all stretched out
and sexy looking.
cuz if she actually was standing normal
and everyday-like
she would look
really
really
bad.
reminds me of this awesome skit
from snl:
yes, i'm posting about jeans.
it's so much easier
than going through over 3,000 pictures
from my two week vacation,
organizing, editing
and then posting about it.
or posting about my birthday party.
{that was two months ago}
not to mention my laptop broke.
and we're buying a house.
and i still feel like i'm drowning
with three kids.
ya. someday i'll catch up on life.
just don't abandon me.

Wow! If those came in an elastic waist version I would be right back in the 80's!
I found the transition from two to three kids to be the hardest one. Once you get used to it you will be ready to take on anything!
It's lovely to hear from you, but don't worry about posting when you don't feel like it or aren't up to it. You are awesome, and worth waiting for!
Just say no to nine inch zippers.
Life is just like that; things hit all at once just when you're trying to make a really huge transition in life. But if you're coping by making yourself laugh, well... you ahead of 9/10 of everyone else.
Funny to think that MOM JEANS are really just a bastardization of something we used to think looked really cool... like, totally.
I don't even have to watch that video. Is it the mom jeans skit? My daughters were just "gifted" a box of mom jeans, so we did a photo shoot.
I won't abandon you, even though to the untrained eye, I already have by moving hundreds of miles away. I eagerly await new posts, but not so eagerly that you feel bad for not posting them for several months:)
Oh, and J and I love the Mom Jeans skit. We sing the little jingle occasionally. It's so great when SNL is right on.
Are you sure those are really jeans? It looks like someone just took a brush full of grey paint to the lower half of her body! Pretty tight stuff there!
I still check your bloggity every day. But now, instead of being tempted by your lovely lip gloss in the last post, these jeans are what I'll see now. The jeans will be friendlier on my wallet since I definitely won't be buying them any time soon. Gross!
All I can say is GROSS!!! I hadn't seen that snl skit. YUCK!! I'm glad that's not a requirement for being a mom!
LOL!
Jerald and I saw that skit on snl the first time they did it and we laughed hysterically! We still do!
"Four-Way Stretch High-Waisted Side Zipper Pant"
"Four-Way Stretch", so you can get a "smaller" size and fit all your flab into every inch.
"High-Waisted", so you can finally let that pooch breath! (My favorite!)
And you gotta love the "Side-Zipper" for a little more Pizazz!
Love your post! Congrats on the house!
P.S. I was joking about the "positives" of the Mom Jeans by the way, if you didn't catch the sarcasm. GEE-ROSS!
Mom Jeans--what about Grandma Jeans???
Enjoy Mabel--don't worry about all you have to do. It will all still be there.
And, obviously, so will we ; )
Aubrey, I can see you peeking through all the ruff'n'tuff of life. lol... I'm just glad to know those jeans aren't in your future, and hopefully noone elses either! :)
those jeans are awwwwful... And mom jeans is the perfect clip for that! ha ha!! I love it. I hope the house-buying is going well and I'm excited to hear about your trip! Don't drown. :o) Catch up when you can... we'll be here waiting. And still be your adoring fans. :)
Oh my gosh that video is really, really funny.
i know that picture isn't especially flattering but actually that style of pants can be quite flattering on the right body figure. now i don't wear jeans like that but i think they may be a heck of a lot better then seeing everyones hips hanging over the low hip jean huggers....
The REALLY scary thing is that I wore Mom Jeans (with zippers, not elastic waist) right up until a few years ago, when my horrified daughter finally beat some fashion sense into me! ;)
But I STILL horrify her by using a fanny pack at Disneyland, muahaha! ;)
