anonymous

it's that time of year again.
time to
commemorate
my anniversary of blogging.

it's been over three years.
crazy, i know.
and i have to say
my blogging has certainly
evolved
over the past years.

i used to blog multiple times a week
and visit and comment all over the place.
then it pittered down to
a few times a week.
now, i'm lucky
if i can type out a post
or visit a blog or two
as i'm passing by my laptop
once a week.
three kids
homeschooling
church
a house
it all keeps me barely afloat.

but i still love it.
still enjoy the communcation,
the creativity,
the outlet
of blogging.

and i'm grateful to all of you
who read my blog.
and comment.
you who create the conversation
that sometimes i need.
no matter how fleeting it may be.

so now,
without further adieu.
i invite you
to leave an
anonymous
comment,
question,
complaint,
request.

and i'll respond
{within reason.}

well, i always read your blog but very rarely leave a comment. your blog is so fun to read and i love seeing what's new with you and your beautiful family, especially now that you've moved away from all of us up here! sure love you and miss you!

I'd love to see or hear of the house projects you do, or of the redecorating projects you would like to do. Something as big as redoing a room or as little as finding the perfect mirror.

It's amazing the way blogging evolves isn't it? I started out all gung ho too, and blogged at least three times a week, and now I am lucky to blog once a week. But, the people that really love me still comment, and I am okay only getting a few comments. It actually takes some of the pressure off for me to go and comment on other blogs too.
Of course, I comment on some blogs regardless of whether or not they read mine, just because I love them.
I think you are doing great!

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've had stuff going on too.

I really enjoyed our conversation on the bloggy beach trip about waxing. ;)

I love how your blog always makes me feel like I know what's going on in your life, even though I now live so far away from you. It's ALMOST like I never left. I'd like to know who you consider to be the biggest influences on you in the following areas: creatively/artistically, intellectually/philosophically, and spiritually.

You intimidate me.
In real life, and in the blogging world.

That wasn't a question, sorry.
Do you plan to home school your kids through high school?

before I started to comment on your blog I spent a good month or so reading your blog from your very first post. Your blogging was an inspiration for my own; the way you captured the little moments. Now for my question...

If you could go on a dream vacation, where would you go? where would you stay? Where would you eat? who would be with you? What would you catalog? Would you have plans? or would you do things on a whim? or BOTH? .... I hope these questions will merit a post from you someday - even if it's a hypothetical post.

We all love you and your fun blog!

I love your music playlists, but I also really loved the videos you would have on the right - those songs were lots of fun to see the videos to; I had never heard of most of those songs before you would debut them here on your blog for us.

"Fever" sung Peggy Leo is my favorite 'version'(?) of that song.. love it!!!

We love you, miss you, and wish we all lived closer together.. Talking on the phone is not enough.

Ooh! This is fun! It's fun reading other people's anonymous comments! Let's see.... Have I ever mentioned that you are one of the most inspiring people I know? Have you ever considered writing a book? I know that there are several topics on which I consider you to be an expert. Happy 3 year anniversary!

I am sad because we used to be such good friends but I have felt our friendship waning over the years and I feel that I miss it more than you do.

I am sincerely interested in the reasons you have chosen to homeschool. In your opinion, what are the pros and cons? What is your format?
Love to visit here occasionally, you are so inspiring in your writing.

I usually read your posts in passing. I really like how you format them and they usually make me smile. And I'm glad that this is anonymous, because otherwise I'd feel like a big goober.

I agree with anonymous. I want to see more pics of the things you are doing with your new house.

oh dear. the late night conversation in which i revealed way too much? that's what happens with me and late nights. but i have to agree that i enjoyed it too. and need to head over for a bloggy visit with you. :)

ooh. very good question/s. first, though: i'm glad my blog does that for you. that and facebook. i love the snippets of information we get about each other's lives on facebook.

now, WHO i consider to the be biggest influences??? i'm not sure the answers will be WHO, rather WHAT influences me. i hope that's okay.

my CREATIVE influences are...solitude, music and nature. those are the three things that get the creative juices flowing for me. there are a couple of blogs that i follow and don't comment on as well as books i love that inspire me. not so much to create myself, but just solely inspire me.

my INTELLECTUAL influences are Paul and npr. {he laughed at this.}

my PHILOSOPHICAL influences are PAUL, Neil A. Maxwell, David A. Bednar, Barbara Kingsolver, any kind of green living.

my SPIRITUAL influences are the temple, scriptures, spiritual music, current teachings from our prophet and general leaders.

that's just because you don't know me well enough. if you did, you'd be all "what the heck, she's a big dork." it's true. i'm serious.

That wasn't a question, sorry.
Do you plan to home school your kids through high school?

my answer: i plan to homeschool my children as long as THEY want to homeschool. if, when they get older, they decide that they want to go to public school, i'll support their decision.

aw, thanks!! really? you read all my back posts? eek. that makes me nervous.

but as for your question...a rather LOADED question, i might add...i might have to do as you suggested..make it into a blog post. which i appreciate. i always need ideas. and this is one that i'm going to have fun with! so, thank you!

I love your music playlists, but I also really loved the videos you would have on the right - those songs were lots of fun to see the videos to; I had never heard of most of those songs before you would debut them here on your blog for us.

so funny that you mention this because in the past few days i have honestly been thinking about posting some videos instead of my playlist. i better get on that!

"Fever" sung Peggy Leo is my favorite 'version'(?) of that song.. love it!!!

i don't think i've ever heard another version. my parents bought me best of peggy lee YEARS ago after i heard "fever" in that one movie with matthew perry and salma hayek. i love the sound of peggy lee's voice!

aw, geez. i totally agree. in a perfect world we would all live in the same neighborhood and our kids would play together every day.

i don't think you've ever mentioned it, cuz i have no idea who you are. :D sometimes i can kind of guess at who writes each comment but for the most part it's a big shot in the dark.

anyway...i am definitely not expert enough to write any kind of book. but flattered that you would think such sweet nonsense about me.

I am sad because we used to be such good friends but I have felt our friendship waning over the years and I feel that I miss it more than you do.

this seems too serious for a blog comment so perhaps an email or call is in order? because i never would want you to think that.

thank you for visiting! and i love this question. can i write it in a blog post? i've been meaning to already..

I usually read your posts in passing. I really like how you format them and they usually make me smile. And I'm glad that this is anonymous, because otherwise I'd feel like a big goober.

wha? you're not a goober! i love you!

I agree with anonymous. I want to see more pics of the things you are doing with your new house.

hmm. perhaps i am now too intimidated to blog about it with everyone's {at least two people's} hopes up. but, no, i'll do it. sooner than later. i promise.

Better late than never.

I love the way you write--I am always in awe of your style. You have such poise and grace.

Hugs and keep blogging.

can you shuffle your playlist? marvin gaye's drums scare the crap out of me every stinkin' time!

i love your blog, and i love you. but you already know that.

and this anonymous idea is kinda' fun.
