and probably not nearly as exciting as last year's.
but educational in a different way.
so..no matter how much
or how little you do,
i highly recommend waxing.
consider it a vday gift to your husband.
or even to yourself.
behold..
my waxing tutorial in photos:
my first time i got waxed was here.
and even though the lady was nice and sweet, it was horribly painful.
plus, when i got home, i noticed some extra hairs.
for $70, i want to be perfectly bare.
i gave myself a healing period of a month or so
then gathered my courage and started doing it myself.
i bought the warmer and wax off amazon.com
and that has worked for me since.
this last time i was in a pinch
and bought the wax at a beauty supply store and it was $25 + tax..
whereas on amazon it's about $20 total.
bonus:
i've been waxing for about three years
and have very sparse growth
and can go a lot longer between waxing than i used to.
hooray!
the end.

You are a braver woman than I will ever be. I think it would take at least twelve strips per underarm for me to be silky smooth like that.
I was eating cereal.
Suddenly, I'm not so hungry.
I am all about waxing! I would die if I didnt wax my legs. I trade with people so I dont have to pay. Fabulous set up. yay for beauty school. ha
I'm such a wimp. Waxing terrifies me! Ha ha! But man, I hate shaving, so maybe it'd be worth it!
that was funny....and not so funny at the same time :)
i had brook help me wax my bikini before our vaca last year, and that was just oh so fun! and then he had me wax his back---that was even more fun!
i'm just not sure that i'm brave enough to wax *myself*
About the only thing I can handle having waxed is my eyebrows ; )
Maybe this is a dumb question, but do you not use the cloth strips over the wax?
jenn, no that's not a dumb question and one i should have mentioned. the wax i use is hard wax. so, no strips. i LOVE that i don't have to use those annoying strips. it just hardens and you pull it off.
Aubrey, I've waxed for years but never thought about trying hard wax... thanks for putting the idea into my head! :)
I've never used heated wax - I use Nad's though for my arms and then Nair for my upper lip. I love them both!! Nad's is difficult (and often painful) to apply because it's so hard and stiff, all the while grabbing hairs as you move it around to where you want it to stick. You are so brave!! haha I loved this post for your bravery! and NICE BICEPS!!! AND cute hair. (I mean your head hair... not pit hair) HA!!
Great Tip==You are so tough!!!
I'm okay with having my face done---I don't think I could do it anywhere else!! My SIL tried to do my legs and it hurt so bad I couldn't finish....does it get less painful the more you do it???
