oh right
i forgot to mention how awesome craiglist is.
so, we needed a new kitchen table
since we've grown +1.
and when we have guests it's kind of a circus act
fitting everyone at our tiny round table.
the more i thought about it,
the more i realized we needed
not only a new table
but,an entirely new
dining set
because what if the new table didn't fit
or match the old chairs, etc. etc.
with this newfound want/need,
i quickly became a craiglist junkie.
i couldn't NOT refresh and recheck
every time i walked by my laptop.
i really wanted one with ladder back chairs,
i imagined painting the set a bright color.
like bright yellow.
not rustic yellow. but,
bright
glossy
yellow.
{gah! just thinking about it gets me excited!}
craiglist dining sets range from 200-2,000 dollars.
or more.
even the low of the low
was just too pricey
not to mention hideously ugly.
so when i found this pretty one

with these funky ladder backs

and this pretty trim

not to mention TWO leaves..
{meaning it seats 10 people!!}
i fell in love.
and emailed instantly.
the lady said it was first come, first serve.
which meant i needed to make a decision.
fast.
which i find extremely difficult
when spending money.
but, after sleeping on it
i woke up
and realized just how seriously stupid i was being
in delaying such an awesome deal
on something so perfect.
i emailed her instantly:
"i want your dining set.
i will come and get it RIGHT NOW."
{perhaps i sent that email more than once
when i didn't get a reply...}
but miracle of miracles
it was still available.
i then drove 45 minutes to her house,
and loaded the entire thing in my van
for $75.00
yes.
solid table with 6 chairs,
two leaves
in fantastic condition.
for $75 DOLLARS.
i thought it was a typo when i saw the post.
but it wasn't. and now it is mine!
...i coooould do without
the plaid fabric on the seats.

but everything is in such good condition
i'm fine waiting to recover them.
so, now..
even though i've bought what i need,
i find myself wondering if
there's something else on craiglist
i don't know i need
just waiting for my discovery.
am i an addict?
