these are just a few things
that i have been focused on improving in my life.
and not just wanting them to happen
but making them happen.

apron

i've been telling paul that i am in need of a new apron. need or want. those kind of blur sometimes when it's something pretty that i want. and this is very, very pretty.

i do have two great aprons.

this one was handmade for me by emily for christmas one year. i love it. i have used it and smeared food on it and virtually stained it irreversably.


this one was handmade for me by katie. it was a birthday gift from two years ago. i absolutely adore this apron. especially the A that makes it my own. plus, for anyone who has chatted with me online and knows my online nickname, and knows that i "like" cherries, it is covered in cherries. because of that fact. uh...and even then, the cherry thing, that is hard to explain. moving on.


so, just a mere two days ago i told paul that i really want a new apron. i'm due for one. and i need a full apron, not a half apron. because when i'm cooking and baking, i tend to wipe my hands all over my front. and if i'm wearing the cherry apron, i usually forget and end up wiping food and whanot all over the shirt i am wearing.

then, yesterday i went onto annie's blog and to my utter delight, she was wearing this apron in her video blog.


and i'm in love. and want to buy it. i love the style and might consider a different fabric, but i still like this one as well. bella style is the online boutique where they are sold in case you want one too.

reward

so i cleaned my house yesterday. this involved the ENTIRE house, including, but not limited to toilets, stove, fridge, sweeping and mopping my huge span of laminate floors and SEVEN loads of laundry. while i was sweeping my floors last night, i was thinking of how i really deserved a reward for all this cleaning. i know this isn't LOGICAL. we all have to clean our houses. (at some point) and do our laundry. (at some point) and it's really just a part of life. and you can't have a REWARD everytime you do something that NEEDS to be done. but. still. i wanted one. and still do.

and since right now, all that is on my mind is spring...i want a spring dress and shoes. but there is a lot of ugly stuff out there right now. and a lot of black and navy and brown. and i'm wanting bright, light colors. so, here are a few that i am loving right now...but can't afford so i will wish and hope that stuff this cute shows up at target. or old navy. or nord rack. p.s. i know the third one is black AND red, but i just really, really like it.
